My Favorite Brow Products by Meagan

So we all know the brow game is strong for the last while, I said I would sit down and go through the products I think it is worth while checking out, yet, staying on a budget friendly price range.

This is in no particular order.

1. Freedom Makeup London Brow Pomade €6.95

Hands down, the most used brow product I have since I bought it. What I love about this is the consistancy. It’s not to hard, not to soft, just right. I find it perfect for creating a defined brow. A little bit of product goes a long way. Depending on how heavy or light handed you are, depends on the opacity you get. Perfect for those Instabrows. I find that this product is very long wearing, and doesn’t smudge in the rain (which is a good thing in Ireland) It also comes in 11 different shades, so your bound to find a colour that matches.

2. Freedom Makeup London Brow Duo Powder €6.95- €14

I absolutely love these powders. I bought mine in a single, rather than a book version (which I feel would be perfect for any makeup artist) I find the duo powder highly pigmented and long wearing. It’s great on it’s own or to set your wax/pomade. I also scrape a bit out and mix it with my Makeup Revolution liquid primer, for a more defined brow look.

3. NYX Brow Pomade €6.50

At first, I’m not going to lie, I hated it. I thought it was way too soft, so I left the cap off it for an hour or two, and now I love it. I find it’s not as pigmented as the Freedom, and it seems to be lacking in shades. It’s long wearing, waterproof and a soft formula.

4. Makeup Revolution Ultra Eyebrow Kit €11.20

My favorite kit to bring traveling with me, it has everything you need for your brows. 2 Tinted brow wax, 4 brow powders, an arch cream, a highlighter, tweezers, pencil, and brushes. I have this about a year now and I love it. There are 3 Palettes, Fair to Medium, Medium to Dark, and Extra Dark to Black.

5. Essence Brow gel €3.50

After my brows are done, I absolutely love brushing through with this brow mascara. Some people say it’s a dupe to the Benefit, but I can’t tell ye straight up if it is or not, as I don’t have it.

My favorite drugstore makeup. By Meagan

Firstly, what factors into my buying, is that I love affordability, who doesn’t? Secondly, the colour pay off, and finally the colours. I will post my favorites from the brands, and I will try find links to where you can buy them online and insert them if you are interested.

Brands I absolutely love and why:

Sleek
Sleek has been my absolute favourite for eyeshadows,  eyeliners, Blushes, Contour. (I have yet to try the foundation and primer)

The I- Divine palettes are €10.49, but at the moment it’s 2 for €14 on the boots website. I have so many of the palettes that I’ve actually lost count.
I do have my 2 absolute favorites, which are a staple in the line,  Ultra Mattes V1 and Vintage Romance.
The eyeshadows are so pigmented,  blend so easily and are just an all round fantastic buy. You should definitely pick one up, pick what Palette is more your type, colour wise.

Next is the Sleek eu la la liners. These..  These are silk to your lips and eyes. Absolute silk. They are super pigmented and soft and are €6.99 I literally will not use any other black eyeliner other then the noir. It’s just amazing. I have went through 4 at least already. I wish they made bigger sizes. Raisin and Venom are definitely my go to for my lips, especially to use with Sleek Fandango Purple.

Sleek Matte Me’s, completely Matte, and I have all colours. I only really use Birthday Suit and Fandango Purple from them, as I find they are my most used colours. Only thing with these are definitely prime your lips before you start your makeup, and leave your lips til last. If your have really dry chapped lips you should definitely avoid! These retail for €6.49

Blushes are so darn pigmented you could use them as eyeshadows.  No exaggeration. You really need a light hand with these. You can get singles or trios of the Blushes.

Finally the Contour kit, they have 2 powdered types, one is just a Contour and highlight, the other is face Form, it has the Contour, highlight and blush. Definitely think about what shade your going to buy with these powdered Contour kits, as they are extremely pigmented and a light hand is needed.

You can buy Sleek products from Boots or Sleek website.

MUA
This brand is really affordable,  some products are definitely hit & misses. I usually buy MUA for eyeshadows or lipsticks, which can range from €1.25 up to €8. They can be bought in Superdrug. The eyeshadows are super pigmented, easy to blend and unbelievably affordable. Lipsticks, I always choose Matte,  are not very soft, but, the colour pay off is brilliant.

You can buy MUA products instore or online on the Superdrug website.

Makeup Revolution
Ugh, I have so much bought from the website. I don’t even know where to begin. Makeup Revolution have thee best dupes for so many brands it is unmerciful, I feel my bank card crying thinking about what I want to buy next. They are really nice to deal with, and they listen to their customers, which in my opinion is a fantastic thing. They are so affordable, and the makeup itself is of high quality. JUST BE WARNED, you may go on the website for one or two things, and all of a sudden you may have over 100€ worth of makeup products in your basket!

My favourite products are the 32 ultra shade Palettes, I’ve all 6 of them so far and I absolutely love them, especially Affirmation, Flawless and Flawless Matte. They are super soft with a wide variety of finishes, and most importantly the colour pay off is fantastic. These retail for €10.91 on the website, and you can buy them here.

Next is the Iconic Pro 1&2 which are a fantastic dupe for the Lorac Pro palettes, you’ve a row of shimmers and a row of mattes, you can create any look from day to night, these are definitely a great dupe to the Lorac palettes, at a friendly, more cost efficient price of €9.53. You can buy them here.

The chocolate palette which is a dupe for the too faced chocolate bar Palette, this is probably my go to Palette, especially for autumn. They have 3 in the range but I only have I ❤ Chocolate. The packaging is cute, it is a bar of chocolate, there is a slight smell of chocolate, and it has so many different finishes in the palette, it really is a palette I tend to go towards. This retails at €10.90 and can be bought here.

The hypocrisy liners are just awesome, super pigmented,  and they have 5 different shades, which are white, blue, purple, orange and pink. I use them for both my lips and eyes, especially to do a fun look. These are only €1.36 and you can buy them here.

The protection palette, which I have in Light/Medium, and is currently on sale at the moment for only €5.46 (I paid €8.20) This has 3 concealers, setting powder, contour, blush and highlight. I have used this so much and I switch between this and my Sleek Face Form. The powders are so pigmented, so I would recommend using a light hand. You can buy it here.

The Ultra Brow in Fair/Medium, is my go to for my brows, this is retailing for €10.90. You get 2 waxes, 4 powders, arch enchancing cream, highlight, brow pencil, tweezers and 2 brushes. Available in 3 shade options. FAIR to MEDIUM, MEDIUM to DARK, EXTRA DARK to BLACK. You can buy it here.

Lipstick wise, I have so many from them, it’s probably unnecessary. The prices start from €1.36 and the most expensive is €4.09. They range from mattes to shimmers and glosses, so definitely check them out. You can buy them here.

Collection 2000

I love the small eyeshadow palettes they have, especially the shimmer ones, as they are really pigmented. I also really enjoy using their liquid liner, as I find it is easy to glide on. The foundation, I used to wear it obsessively, but I am now trying different brands, and types, but I still always go back to the collection 16hr wear one, it is full coverage and it suits my skin.

Collection 2000 can be bought in Superdrug or Boots.

Seventeen

The products are definitely hit & misses. I do love the seventeen falsifeye HD mascara, the Stay Time foundation and the tattoo liner. The tattoo liner is a b*tch to get off the eyes though! Perfect for when your hitting the town, only downside is the brush is a tad to small for my liking. The stay time foundation, is full full coverage, no need for concealer, it is that full coverage, I usually go in with a damp sponge to sheer it out.

You can buy Seventeen on the Boots website or instore.

Catrice

I have bought so many catrice products over the years, but, my favorites would be the eyebrow felt, which is so darn pigmented, you HAVE to be light handed. The camouflage concealer, and the new liquid camouflage concealer. These, just life! They discontinued my favorite mascara though, which was the multilash one. I am definitely going to try out the new ones they have though.

I purchase mine in Primark/Pennys or in some pharmacies.

August Favorites by Meagan

Nothing has really changed since last month. I have a few new products in this months favorites, but not a lot. I have added links where I could to bring you to wear you can buy them if interested.

Skin Care

  • Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future night cream: This has been my love since I bought it, I sleep so well with it on.
  • Superdrug’s Dead sea mud mask : Reminds me of the GlamGlow as it draws out the impurities. I am really enjoying this face mask.
  • Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed face mask: I will always stay true to this mask. It completely self heats, and I find when I wash it along side the face wash my pore look unclogged and my face looks so clean.

Makeup

  • Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Kit: I have still been loving this kit, and I probably will for another while. It just has everything in it.
  • Sleek Vintage Romance: It has beautiful shades of golds, purples, and browns, I always reach for it. It is such a beautiful palette.
  • Botanic’s BB cream: This is just light weight and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.
  • Maybelline Baby Skin Primer: Instantly reduces and smooths my pores. I really need to buy backups. I haven’t even been reaching for my smashbox primers.
  • Seventeen HD Mascara: This stuff is awesome. Completely lengthens your lashes, definitely doesn’t volumise though, in case you are looking for that in the mascara. I find this doesn’t clump and it makes my lashes just look longer. Way better then the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara ( review of that coming soon)
